One week a year the Docent Muziek students of both the Royal Conservatory and Codarts work closely together, to meet and inspire each other and to deepen curriculum topics.

This year they had a great challenge:
how to experiment creatively together online?

Teacher Cristiano Viviani made it possible,
together with composer and multimedia specialist Giovanni Frison.

The result is an EP – macedonia lo-fi –
comprised of 9 fascinating different tracks (the best of 15),
composed and recorded over an intensive 3-day creative and interactive workshop.

To keep the students moving throughout the many screen-hours,
they also made a video trailer in which the participants improvise movements and rhythms
over a composition by Giovanni Frison
(created in post-production by sampling the students' audio-content from the workshop) .
